You had me scared of your poor, defenseless, old neighbor lady before I ever got to Australia. Then I caught her watching me: and watching me – always watching me.

Once I went out in the backyard to do something, and poor Maisy made a beeline for me. I had no idea she could get around that quickly. She was fast for an old gal.

She started asking me questions. She wanted to know who I was, what I was doing in your house, how long I was staying, and why did I talk funny? I try to stay calm.  I don’t want to rant as I did on my sister blog Better Than Realty:  Warning I am Going to Rant.  But seriously, how can I not?    These are choices that these men have made.   They enjoyed playing the game.   They knew week after week what they were doing to their bodies.   And now they want someone to pay for it.   We all make choices in life that are not always the best.   But can we look to someone else to pay for those choices?   Every career has its risks.

Sometimes I come up with suggestions at work regarding work-flow or data collection etc which to me just seems like common sense, but to others, comes across as though it’s some big revelation… but I’ve not had any great ideas worthy of noting.

In love and reflection of a year gone by

it’s almost time to say goodbye and let go, in gratitude, of yet another year..

newyearit seems, at least for me, that this year has been all about letting go. and now that the end of the year is close, I sit in silence and reflect on everything that has happened.

it’s been a rough year, so intense and full of challenges forcing me to mobilize all my strengths more times than I can count. and it’s been a year so full of purpose and insight that I can only bow my head in gratitude and feel blessed. no matter what next year will bring, I know it will be magical. probably not easy, but definitely magical.

this year more than ever, I hope we only carry with us the things, and people, that brings us joy and inspiration and love – that serves our progress. so with only one day left…
